The City of Montgomery, AL Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an Outdoor Recreation Specilaist. The position pays $45,440 annually
The Outdoor Recreation Specialist develops and implements recreational activities for all community centers in Montgomery County. The Specialist also has management oversight over a group of smaller community centers. The essential functions for the position include planning and developing recreation programs, administering recreation programs, promoting recreation programs, providing management oversight to a group of smaller community centers, and performing other related administrative duties. Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in recreation administration, sports management, or a related field and one year of experience programming for a variety of outdoor recreational activities and two years of experience supervising employees involved in the provision of recreational services.
